Who We Are
This website, zedking.in, is operated by Zed-King Group of Institute, a computer training institute in Kaithal, Haryana, India. This policy explains what information we collect through this website, why we collect it, who else can see it, and what you can do about it. It covers the public website, the blog, the free Study Zone, the online mock tests and the student portal. By using this website you agree to what is described here.
Information You Give Us
We only ask for information when there is a reason to:
- Admission and enquiry forms — your name, phone number, email address, the course you are interested in, and anything you type into the message box.
- Enrolment — for students who actually join, we additionally hold educational background, date of birth, address, guardian details, batch and attendance records, fee and payment records, and documents you submit for a government examination form. Most of this is required by the examining body (NIELIT, HKCL and others), not by us.
- Free online mock tests — a name, and a WhatsApp number only if you choose to enter one. The number is optional and the test works without it.
- Contacting us — if you write to us by email, WhatsApp or Telegram, we keep that conversation so we can answer you.
Information Collected Automatically
Like almost every website, our servers and our analytics and advertising providers automatically record technical information when you visit: IP address, browser and device type, operating system, the pages you opened, the page that referred you, and the date and time. We use this to keep the site working, to detect abuse, and to understand which study material and articles are actually useful. We do not use it to try to identify you personally.
How We Use Your Information
To answer your enquiry and tell you about the course you asked about; to process admission, batches, attendance, fees and examination forms; to send course, exam and result updates over WhatsApp, SMS or email; to run and improve the free Study Zone and mock tests; to keep the website secure; and to meet our legal and accreditation obligations. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not rent or trade our student or enquiry lists to anyone.
Cookies and Local Storage
A cookie is a small file a website stores in your browser. Local storage is a similar browser feature. This website uses both:
- Essential cookies — a session cookie that keeps staff signed in to the administration area. Without it the login cannot work.
- Browser storage for the mock tests — while you are taking a test, your answers and the questions you have already visited are saved in your own browser so that a refresh or an accidental back-press does not cost you your paper. This stays on your device.
- Preference storage — for example the opt-out flag described under "Advertising" below.
- Analytics and advertising cookies — set by Google, described in the two sections that follow.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time. If you block essential cookies the staff login will stop working; the public website, the blog and the Study Zone will still work normally.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 and Google Tag Manager to measure how the website is used — which pages are opened, how long people stay, and which links are clicked. Google places cookies in your browser for this and processes the data on our behalf. You can prevent it entirely by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
Advertising (Google AdSense)
Parts of this website — the blog and the free Study Zone — carry advertising served by Google AdSense. Advertising is how we keep the notes, PDFs, video lectures and mock tests free to use. Please note the following:
- Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or to other websites.
- Google's use of advertising cookies enables Google and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.
- You can opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalised advertising at www.aboutads.info/choices. Opting out does not remove advertising; it makes it less relevant to you.
- How Google handles data from sites that use its services is explained at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
- No advertising is shown while you are taking a test. The examination and result screens of the online mock tests carry no ads at all, and neither do the staff and student dashboards.
Advertisers do not receive your name, phone number, email address or any of your admission or examination records from us.
Visitors in the EEA, UK and Switzerland
Practically all of our visitors are in India. If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, we use a Google-certified consent management platform to ask for your choice before advertising or measurement cookies are used, and you may accept, refuse, or choose in detail. You can change that choice later from the same message.
Who Else Sees Your Information
We share information only where it is needed to run the institute and this website:
- Examining and accrediting bodies — NIELIT, HKCL, the Indian Red Cross Society and similar authorities, for registration, examination forms, results and certificates.
- Service providers who run this website for us — website and database hosting, email delivery, and the WhatsApp Business API used to send course and exam updates. They may process your data only to provide that service to us.
- Google — for the analytics and advertising described above.
- Where the law requires it — in response to a valid legal demand.
Data Retention
Enquiries are kept while we are still following them up and for a reasonable period afterwards. Student, fee and examination records are kept for as long as the institute and the examining bodies require, because certificates and results must remain verifiable years later. Mock test attempts are kept so that a student can reopen their own result. You can ask us to delete anything we are not required to keep.
Data Security
The site is served over HTTPS, the administration area is behind a login, and access to student records is limited to staff who need it. We keep the systems patched and review access. No website can promise perfect security, and we do not claim to; if a breach ever affects your information we will tell you and the relevant authority as required by law.
Children and Young Students
Some of our courses are taken by school students under the age of 18. Admission for a minor is completed by a parent or guardian, and we ask a parent or guardian to provide the contact details. The free Study Zone material and mock tests can be used without creating an account. We do not knowingly collect personal information from a child under 13 without a parent or guardian, and if you believe a child has given us information, write to us and we will remove it.
Your Choices and Rights
You can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete what we are not legally obliged to keep, or withdraw your consent to marketing messages. To stop WhatsApp or SMS updates, reply STOP or tell us on the number below. Email [email protected] and we will respond within a reasonable time. We may need to confirm your identity before acting on a request about student records.
Links to Other Websites
This website links to other websites — NIELIT and other official portals, YouTube lectures, and advertisers. Once you follow such a link you are on someone else's website and this policy no longer applies. Please read their privacy policy. We are not responsible for how they handle your information.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy when the website or the law changes. The date at the top of this page always shows when it was last revised. Continued use of the website after a change means you accept the updated policy.
